Description
This picturesque and historic tobacco barn is over 100 years old and, since 1952, has been owned by the Clewis family in Chadbourn, NC. It was used to cure and prepare tobacco until 25 years ago. Now it is a relic of a colorful past and way of life that is quickly disappearing. What a delightful time I had attempting to capture the amazing scene of another era! A big thank you to Mr. Clewis for allowing me to record a part of his family's history, along with sharing some stories about his childhood and the hard work he participated in to prepare and cure the tobacco leaves.

I am grateful to the collector from Wilmington, NC, for the purchase of a print of this beautiful Carolina barn! It's one of my favorite captures. May you enjoy it for a long time to come. Beautiful choice of framing! Blessings, Suzanne
